newbie needing help

Hey everyone
I'm running nicehash on my R5 2600x and RX 570 8GB. I know nearly nothing about bitcoin. If I have bitcoin saved to my nicehash account, how would I transfer that into my electrum wallet? Would I even need another wallet or is nicehash a wallet in itself?

Also: I live in the US, not sure if I need an offshore VPS or VPN but its labeling my country as "not supported". Is it possible for me to turn my bitcoin (when I eventually get some) into cash? How would I even go about doing that in the first place?

Is there a way to start an online "guerrilla" business without using TOR?

Not for drugs or anything, just cheese. Homemade cheese, and maybe some summer sausage. I don't want to comply with all that regulation and tax stuff you deal with in the meatspace, and I also don't want to be an extremely obsure onion that gets no traffic.
Is this possible yet?

Beware Internoc24 hosting scam -- accepts Bitcoin Cash, then no service

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Update: They finally replied, and got my service setup. It just took a couple days, as apparently there was a manual setup process. So I spoke too soon... it's not a scam, just took a while to get going. Now that it's running, things appear to be working well.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I found this so-called "hosting provider" through the acceptbitcoin.cash website. There was also a post about them a couple weeks ago on this subreddit announcing how they accept Bitcoin Cash. Sounded great! They did indeed accept my Bitcoin Cash payment. Only problem, even over 48 hours after signing up and paying, I still have nothing!
I signed up for VPS service, paid with Bitcoin Cash, and waited... Logging into their control panel, the service says "pending". This was over 2 days ago. Yesterday, I opened a ticket with their support, and sent an email inquiring about when the service will be setup. I have still received no response. There is a "Live Chat" button on their website, but when clicked it does nothing but reload the same page.
Now I am beginning to wonder if this entire operation may be a scam. I know there's probably no way I'm getting my Bitcoin Cash back. If I'm lucky, maybe they're just very slow to respond, and will eventually get it setup, but even if that's the case, I feel this is is still unfair that my paid service period is supposedly underway already, but I cannot access any of it, just a page that says "Pending".
So my suggestion for this subreddit: maybe we need a better way to weed out bad actors in the Bitcoin Cash space.... Even though I continue to believe that Bitcoin Cash has awesome potential as a currency, it doesn't look very good when one of the few hosting options on the acceptbitcoin.cash website with a big green checkbox next to it ends up being a scam operation, or at best a company with extremely poor customer service. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth, cause now after that bad experience, I don't feel inclined to try and sign up with another provider linked off that website.
Might just go back and renew with my old hosting provider now, even though they only accept credit cards as a payment. (My main reason for switching: I wanted to accept a provider that would take Bitcoin Cash.) But now, after getting burned like this, suddenly old credit cards, with the option of a chargeback in an event such as this, doesn't seem quite so bad...

[Hiring] PHP/MySQL Developer for Multisignature Bitcoin Commerce Project - $6-$10k USD Budget - 2-3 Month Delivery Schedule

Read entire post below. Responses that do not follow the defined application process will immediately be deleted.
I am looking for a PHP/MySQL Dev who can work within my project budget for a commerce web application. The project will be fully defined by a Project Manager. The PM will work with the freelance dev to define the final scope of the web application and will be responsible for final QA/signoff of each of dev's milestone deliveries. The PM will work with dev to iteratively adjust the methodology to achieve each feature in a manner that meets requirements and stays within budget.
The budget range is $6000 - $10,000 USD payable via bitcoin using a multisignature escrow bitcoin address with 2of2 signing keys (one held by freelance dev + other by PM). The escrow method is designed to release funds to the dev once a milestone is delivered + accepted by PM. The idea is that the funds are not able to retrieved by me or the PM such that the bitcoin is essentially burned. This makes non-payment risk low as there is zero incentive to not pay the developer. So long as the committed work deliverables are made then the dev will be paid. Any similar methods that avoid complicated 3rd party involvement + which allow for btc payment are acceptable if dev wants to propose an alt method. But the method I propose is also a feature in the web app so it would be helpful to my project if the dev and PM actually use a process similar to the specifications of the app.
The application is to be white-labeled + unbranded such that it can be deployed by multiple admins for diferent independent website operators to run without having coding experience. It should have an install/setup for the admin that is similar to Wordpress-5-min-install-wizard. Once setup, it would be hosted on a VPS and maintained by the operators. The commerce categories are designed to be flexible to the market spectrum of ecommerce. Right now, I have 3 client deployments I intend to make ranging from physical item commerce like woocommerce to a concert ticket sales platform. It should be built with market flexibility in mind for future versions which will be designed to run on a contracts basis.
The app is envisioned to manage multiple seller listings and be similar to the look/feel of Craigslist for sale listings - a lightweight, no fluff listing catalog with simple buyer experience to search/filtebrowse/buy listings from multiple sellers.
The features that would need to be coupled into an item browsing platform are designed to reduce the fraud associated with common fiat ecommerce such as identity theft, financial theft and credit card theft. Using common cryptographic technology like PGP and cryptocurrency(bitcoin) will allow for bitcoin 2of2 multisignature escrow to be available for purchasing with mediator services available should an event similar to a paypal dispute arise.
Additionally, there will need to be common commerce components such as listings management, shipping/delivery management, messaging, help requests, catalog item browsing, search function, filter function, favorite selleitem function, etc. These components would not be things encompassed in popular shopping cart apps.
Design should be completely PHP / mySQL with as little java as possible.
see projects such as coinbin + cryptowoo to get an idea of how the bitcoin escrow piece will work with 2of2 multisig. Coinbin process will be baked into the workflow for signing bitcoin transactions so its highly suggested that you look at coinbin and be sure you understand whats happening with a basic multisig address/tx.
A full requirements/wireframe specification is available for qualified applicants.
I am looking to make a decision by next Friday so please message me before then if interested. Applicants should provide me with:
  1. Experience + relevant sites they have coded
  2. Cryptography + bitcoin relevant experience
  3. How well they understand bitcoin commerce + multisignature + escrow and whether they are confident they grasp the concept I am envisioning. If you are a killer PHP dev that can stay within budget but dont have a strong understanding, dont worry as the PM can get you up to speed within an hour if you are motivated + driven to learn about crypto.
  4. Price range for current understanding of project (you can adjust once you see final reqs document)
  5. Final cost of 2 of your past websites that are relevant to my project.
  6. Your location (approximate is fine + offshore is fine)
  7. Preferred communication means (note, all communication by PM will be via email and IM - i believe teamviewer is what they use but im sure skype etc is fine).
  8. Questions about the project that you have for me
This is an excellent project for an intermediate dev who has an interest in the areas of focus. There will be further work on a v2 so Id love to establish a relationship with one dev who can do both versions. The dev will get some immediate freelance work + Im definitely willing to work with dev's who have a learning curve if I feel they are driven enough to make sure the project will succeed.
v2 is the point where I foresee being able to make profit on my business plan and it will take 12-18 months. Once v2 is released, if I can see the type of revenue I forecast, the dev will qualify for a possible discretionary bonus which could be significant. I would also see future small projects being available to make a few grand for 10 hour projects. I also have several contacts looking for a PHP dev in my field. But this all depends on the quality of the work deliverables as to how much additional work / money the dev may see by establishing an excellent work relationship via this first commerce project.
please dont BS about your experience as youll simply waste both our time.
If you are slightly above budget, please include a paragraph describing why I should still consider you + why its worth going over budget to hire you.
message on reddit for 1st contact please.

I want to build a dns sinkhole, any advice, tips?

A few months ago I purchased a domain that was a banking trojan CnC. The domain expired and I happened to accidentally pick it up before knowing what it was used for.
After buying the domain and sitting on it for a few months I decided to put cloudflare in front of the landing page. Just to see what kind of traffic the domain would be getting. I turned all cloudflare security off.
I am getting hundreds of unique hits from various countries mostly Russian and Ukrainian with a couple US hits a day.
I want to build a DNS sink hole to analyze the traffic to see what could still be reaching out, who could still be reaching out (banks? random infections?) Since cloudflare analytics doesn't give much information (free tier).
I work in Security for my 9-5. I know a DNS sinkhole can be sort of a grey area legally. My best idea is to buy and offshore vps with bitcoins, then deny all traffic from the US by GeoIP. The legal grey area still makes me nervous.
Can any of you give some insight on your DNS sinkholes? Maybe some articles on how to setup on or the 'best setup'? Any things to look out for or general advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thoughts on OVH and hosting your own Nostalrius clone without getting shut down by Blizzard

I realise that OVH servers are excellent value for money, but from my personal experience and what happened to Nostalrius, they are simply not suitable for hosting WoW private servers or any other service that falls inside a "grey" legal area. OVH is notorious for shutting down servers without notice when receiving DMCA/cease and desist notices, sometimes even fraudulent ones. It's not entirely their fault. Since their servers are cheap, they don't have the resources required to deal with legal disputes involving their customers. They're often not interested in hearing your side of the story (if it's a DMCA request, you can file a counter-notice.) They have shut down my servers without notice and only gave me limited access (booted into recovery with drives mounted) for 48 hours to download my data. My server was shut down because I used it as an FTP server hosting files for people on my university's network (helping them get around torrent block). It was only accessible from within the university network. Similar things have happened to my friends for various other reasons.
If you're planning to host the "next Nostalrius", there are some steps you can follow to make the server almost impossible to shut down by Blizzard. These are some of the same methods used by The Pirate Bay to stay online for as long as it did: (This gets technical and assumes knowledge of how the internet works):
I hope the Nostalrius database contains enough information that people can recover their accounts on whatever server they want.

Answers. :)

  1. Do "Red Rooms" exist? No. The closest thing you might find if you are lucky enough is a forum where a certain number people discuss killing their spouse or something of that nature(There was this one onion a few weeks back that did such thing but apparently is more of a overseas thing, it was a video of a beheading, but i didn't want to see it.)
  2. is Tor Safe?
Tor is designed to keep someone (ISP, Wi-Fi hackers, etc) from seeing the sites you visit. Disable Flash, Java, Javascript. Don't open files (I know people like to open PDFs that people post sometimes on forums(Dont do it unless you know what the fuck you're doing.)
Useful Firefox Plugins: ghostery, spoof-agent, adblock-plus, https everywhere
The above was probably too much for the average user, the average user shouldn't even need to use all of that but it is helpful
For those of you who actually engage in activities that LE Don't like:
Encrypt hard drive also have a encrypted backup(dont save password anywhere, remember that shit son.)
Consider using a double-vpn(paid with bitcoin ofc) over tor w/ public wifi(etc)
Always update your apps Stay up to date on exploits and attacks Never use the same password twice(thats a big no no)
MAKE SURE YOUR COMPUTER IS SHUT DOWN FULLY AT NIGHT TO AVOID COLD BOOT ATTACKS .

Where does one securely host a hidden service?

Currently running mine on an offshore VPS, paid with Bitcoin over Tor, never connected without Tor. But I see posts sometimes saying that a VPS is a bad idea.

VPS experience and recommendations...

Hey folks.
I was wondering if anyone could offer me firsthand experience with bitvps.com, LibertyVPS.net or serverbros.co.uk specifically.
I'd love to hear about any firsthand experience with other (non north american) VPS hosts who accept BTC for payment and offer similar packages in a similar (low end vps) price range. I know about a few lists like this but really would like feedback or recommendations based on experiences from redditors.
I know about the insecurities of VPS hosts in general but won't be too concerned about the host reading my files as everything on the sites I'm planning will either be encrypted client side or open to the general public anyway. I just want to try out some ideas with a good offshore host before possibly going the dedicated server route.
Linux / root access is a requirement.
Thanks for any info you can share.

Forget SatoshiBones this is the next Big Thing

I'm K1ng7u7 ownedeveloper of the zeroPyamid game ( https://zero.acelewis.com/#1JyHMv8kuJWnbWLEWNV2xoCwfFwdmWoBrG/index.html ).
The game is now available for Franchise, Partnership or Sale on Exclusive Agreement (Re-Sellers/Dealers Wanted, big comisions)..
Assets Included:
Not Included (but required) Offshore 'umbrella' corporation (we help you to get it easy), future zeroPyramid Owneoperator should have registered a 'casino' like corporation either at Panama, Seychelles or Chipre, or where ever this kind of business is legal.
Linux based server either a centos VPS, Docker or a dedicated in-house controlled server (any linux version) if full automatization -automated prize payment - is required.
We accept btc, monero etc any criptocurrency, Credit Card and scrow service.
contact me thru DM or thru ZeroNet's zeroMail as [email protected].
Clarifications 1st Actually zeroPyramid it's an anti-pyramid fraud game, take your time to read it and how it works on bitcoin with mathematic transparency. 2nd I'm not selling a share on a pyramid-fraud scheme, I'm selling or offering partnering a Gaming Platform, for serious and legitimate gambling operators. 3rd I Don't know if everybody considers this a Scam site, I don't care about, serious investor with experience and capital will reach me here or wherever as long they where aware my offering: A Gaming platform. 4th Any contract served by me is ruled by scrow arbitration and payment service, If you understand whats its a Scrow service, its an 3rd which manages a multisig wallet which only with 2/3 signatures can transfer funds to another wallet, they require proof of delivery or satisfaction before sign any payment or refund.

Paying anonymously online

Hi, I need to be able to pay online anonymously for a VPS to run a Tor Hidden Service. Bitcoin is not an option. I've looked into prepaid credit card but every single one I find needs to be activated with an ID card or a passport. I don't have much resources so costly offshore private bank account is not an option either. The cost of the service I need is around $100/yr, I'm willing to double it for anonymity, but not much more (because I can't).
I don't know if that matters to you, but I want to say that the only reason I want to protect my privacy is because of unclear copyright issue, no drugs or pedobear stuff involved. The project is for the greater good.

What are your personal experiences with Rockhoster?

I mean. I want to get three offshore VPS's for three different reasons (I choose rockhoster because of the ability to pay with bitcoin). Ill be using one for a IRC Server, one for SSH Scanning, and the other as a VPN.
I bought a server from MaxiDed, and I couldnt connect to the IRC server, or VPN, but when I set it up on my OVH the IRC worked and so did the VPN, (so I set it up correctly on the Maxi), later to find out, the Port speed of Maxided wasn't good enough to be used as a VPN or IRC Server.
Have you guys had a problem when it comes to Rockhoster? (Im talking about IRC's and VPNS).
Thanks and have a nice day/morning/evening
